COPPER STEEL (Back to Our Services)

Following are some of the copper steel materials that we use:

Parts manufactured from FN-0208-80HT copper steel, 2% Cu, .8%C. This material has the following characteristics:

Minimum Yield Strength: 50,000psi
Typical Ultimate Strength: 65,000psi
Typical Hardness: 35 HRC
Typical Density: 6.8g/cc
Typical Young's Modulus: 18.5 X 10^6psi

Other Applications
This material finds a wide usage in medium strength structural applications. Material in this catagory can be heat treated resulting in increased strength and wear resistance. Low density parts can be oil impregnated for self lubrication.

Parts manufactured from FN-0208-105HT copper steel, 2% Cu, .8%C. This material has the following characteristics:

Minimum Yield Strength: 105,000psi

Typical Ultimate Strength: 120,000psi

Typical Hardness: 31 HRC

Typical Density: 6.9g/cc

Typical Young's Modulus: 19.5 X 10^6psi

Other Applications
This material finds a wide usage in medium strength structural applications. Material in this catagory can be heat treated resulting in increased strength and wear resistance. Low density parts can be oil impregnated for self lubrication.

Parts manufactured from FLN-4205-105HT copper steel, 2% Cu, .8%C. This material has the following characteristics:

Minimum Yield Strength: 105,000psi
Typical Ultimate Strength: 115,000psi
Typical Hardness: 30 HRC
Typical Density: 6.8g/cc
Typical Young's Modulus: 18.5 X 10^6psi

Other Applications
This material finds a wide usage in medium strength structural applications. Material in this catagory can be heat treated resulting in increased strength and wear resistance. Low density parts can be oil impregnated for self lubrication.

Parts manufactured from FC-0208-50HT copper steel, 2% Cu, .8%C. This material has the following characteristics:
