Powdered Metal Fine Pitch Gearing

At Allied Sinterings, Inc., we provide premium quality, tight-tolerance fine pitch powdered metal gearing up to 1.5″ in diameter. We can manufacture gearing with a diametral pitch up to 120 that meets up to AGMA Class 8 tolerances.

THE ADVANTAGES OF POWDERED METAL GEAR MANUFACTURING

When manufacturing complex parts with fine details, powdered metal offers a few key advantages:

  • The combination of different alloys to create the ideal set of material properties for a given application
  • Simpler and more streamlined manufacturing processes offer as much as a 70% reduction in component costs

HOW WE PRODUCE FINE PITCH POWDERED METAL GEARING

Allied Sinterings first creates a powder mixture using the alloys required for the final part/application. This mixture is then compacted and sintered. During sintering, the part is heated to remove the lubricants and harden the component metal. This unique process delivers fine, intricate parts that meet tight dimensional tolerances and require little or no finish machining.

Our quality management system is ISO 9001:2015 certified and multiple metrology tools are available to verify all dimensional tolerances. For more information about our powdered metal fine pitch gearing capabilities, contact us today.
